Dockside Watch

Dockside Watch shows a moment of stillness, where pelicans perch and observe the world from their weathered posts. This collagraph print was inspired by a series of photos I took while in Key West, capturing the quiet rhythm of these coastal birds. For the first time, I used three separate boxes to create a single, continuous image, adding depth and movement to the composition. Carved by hand, the cardboard plate is sealed with polyurethane and printed intaglio, with layered Kozo paper applied through chine collé to add depth and subtle texture.
Each print is hand-pulled and part of a limited edition of 30. Due to the nature of the process, slight variations make each piece unique.
